STEP Lunchtime Lecture No.12 – Lessons I have learned about trust litigation
February 25 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Lunchtime Lecture No.12
Topic: Lessons I have learned about trust litigation
Speaker: Jessica Roland
After over 20 years in private practice and before she moves to take up her judicial post Jessica will speak about some of the lessons she has learned about trust litigation. Jessica has been involved in some of the most significant and complex trust litigation in the Channel Islands. In this lunchtime lecture Jessica will distil some of her experience and observations into a number of common themes useful to those who may be involved in contentious trust matters.
I specialise in commercial litigation, particularly in employment and contentious trust disputes. I also advise on non-contentious employment issues and data protection.
I have substantial experience before Guernsey courts at all levels appearing in some of the island’s most significant cases.
I regularly lecture on my areas of expertise and am frequently sought out by the media for comment.
I am part of a team of specialists advising businesses on data protection matters including working with clients to ensure that their policies, procedures and third-party contracts can demonstrate compliance with data protection legislation; drafting information notices to meet the required standards of transparency; and advising on the legality of international transfers of personal data.
Please arrive by 11.45am for registration.
A polite reminder that if you are hard of hearing please sit in the front five rows for the best auditory experience.
Lecture will start 12pm sharp and last for approx. 45 minutes with 10-15 minutes for questions.
