Maurice Turnor Gardner, boutique private client law firm will provide an overview of the transparency initiatives which affect private clients by exploring the framework and interaction between the existing and proposed registers of beneficial ownership for UK companies, trusts and UK real estate.
About the speakers:
Eesha Arora: Eesha obtained her MA from Cambridge University and trained at Allen & Overy LLP. She is a senior Associate at Maurice Turnor Gardner focussing on personal tax for individuals including pre-arrival planning and the remittance basis. Eesha is experienced in establishing bespoke asset holding structures for high net worth individuals, with a particular focus on non domiciles.
Jessica Zimmerman: Jessica studied Law and German Law at the University of Liverpool and trained and qualified at Thomas Eggar LLP (previously Pritchard Englefield). She joined Maurice Turnor Gardner in January 2015 and focuses on advisingindividuals, families and trustees on both international and UK taxation and succession issues. She also acts for executors, administrators and beneficiaries in relation to complex probate matters, usually involving a cross border element.
Edward Burton: Having obtained MAs from Oxford University and Durham University and an LLB from the College of Law, Edward trained and qualified at Allen & Overy LLP before joining Maurice Turnor Gardner in September 2013. He specialises in prime and super prime residential property and has experience in working across the spectrum of residential property work, from listed buildings on the London estates and new build super prime apartments to country houses. He regularly acts on the highest value and most complex deals in London.
Claire Weeks: Claire graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Law and trained and qualified as a solicitor at Baker & McKenzie LLP. She joined Maurice Turnor Gardner LLP in October 2013. She won the STEP Young Practitioner of the Year award 2017. Claire advises trustees, banks and high-net worth individuals on tax and trust planning and in particular on international wealth planning structures.
